Gunnery Sgt. Kristopher P. The young women undergoing training had the rare chance to see firsthand a drill instructor outside of recruit training. The Command of Recruiting Station Jacksonville gathered the female poolees from its recruiting sub-stations, in order to prepare them for future endeavors as they take on the challenge of becoming Marines. The command also had the opportunity to further evaluate the female poolees for potential assignment in previously closed combat arms Military Occupational Specialties.
