Bradley T. Brown was born October 30, 1984 in Greenville, South Carolina and raised in Mauldin, South Carolina. He graduated from Mauldin High School in May of 2003 and then attended Spartanburg Methodist College. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in November 2004 and attended recruit training in Alpha Company, First Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina (MCRD, PISC) in January of 2005.
In May 2005, he reported to the School of Infantry, Camp Geiger, North Carolina for Marine Combat Training. He was then transferred to Logistics Operations School, Camp Johnson, North Carolina where he earned the military occupational specialty (MOS), 0411. In July 2005, upon completion of MOS school, Private First Class Brown reported for duty to 1st Battalion 9th Marines, 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He was assigned to H&S, S-4, where he worked as the Maintenance Management Clerk. He was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal in September 2005. In October 2006, he was transferred to 6th Marine Regiment, H&S, 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and served as the Assistant Maintenance Management Chief. He deployed with 6th Marine Regiment to Fallujah, Iraq from January 2007 to February 2008 in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM and was promoted to the rank of Corporal in October 2007. He was then transferred to 3rd Battalion 9th Marines, 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina where he served as the Maintenance Management Chief. In February 2009, Corporal Brown was meritoriously promoted to Sergeant. While at 3rd Battalion 9th Marines, Sergeant Brown was deployed from June 2009 to October 2009 to Al Asad Air Base, Iraq in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM.
On return from his deployment, Sergeant Brown was transferred to II MEF G-4, where he served as the Maintenance Management Analyst. From March 2011 to March 2012, he was deployed to Camp Leather Neck, Afghanistan, in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM, where he served as the II MEF Regional Command Southwest Maintenance Management Chief. In April 2012, Sergeant Brown attended the Intermediate Maintenance Management Course at the Logistics Operations School, Camp Johnson, North Carolina, where he graduated as the Honor Graduate. From July 2012 to September 2012, Sergeant Brown attended Drill Instructor School at MCRD, PISC. Upon graduation from Drill Instructor School, Sergeant Brown was assigned to Golf Company, Second Recruit Training Battalion, Recruit Training Regiment, MCRD, PISC. In November 2012, Sergeant Brown reported to Marine Combat Instructor of Water Survival School at MCRD, PISC and graduated in December 2012. In May 2013, Sergeant Brown was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Staff Sergeant Brown served as a Drill Instructor and Senior Drill Instructor with Company G, Second Recruit Training Battalion, MCRD, PISC from October of 2012 to December of 2014 and while on quota he served as the Second Recruit Training Battalion Family Readiness Officer until October of 2015.
After completing a successful tour at MCRD, PISC, Staff Sergeant Brown then reported to 2nd Battalion 10th Marines, 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina as the Maintenance Management Chief. In February 2017, Staff Sergeant Brown completed his associates degree with Grantham University in Interdisciplinary Studies. Staff Sergeant Brown was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant in September 2017 and reported to 2nd Marine Air Wing, G-4, Cherry Point, North Carolina. There he served as the Maintenance Management Chief and a Supply and Maintenance Analyst Team Inspector. He was also hand selected to serve on the Material Readiness Assessment Team, inspecting Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force units serving throughout Europe. In March 2018, Gunnery Sergeant Brown reported to the Naval Chaplaincy School and Center in Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina. In January 2019, the Naval Chaplaincy School and Center was relocated to Naval Station Newport, Rhode Island, where he served as the Assistant Marine Officer Instructor and Senior Enlisted Advisor. January of 2021, he completed his bachelor's degree with Grantham University in Interdisciplinary Studies. In June 2021, he was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant, detached from Naval Chaplaincy School and Center, and reported to Combat Logistics Battalion 2, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2d Marine Logistics Group, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where he served as the Company First Sergeant for Motor Transport Company and H&S Company. He deployed in support of the SOUTHWEST BORDER MISSION from May 2023 to August 2023. In September 2023, he reported to 1st Battalion 8th Marines, 2nd Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and was assigned to Company B. From April 2024 to December 2024, he was deployed with Company B, attached to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, and embarked the USS Oak Hill where he served as the Senior Enlisted Leader. He was deployed, April 2025, to Panama, Panama City to liaison with Panamanian forces and build relations for future missions. In June 2025, he was promoted to Sergeant Major and detached in July 2025 from 1st Battalion, 8th Marines. On 31 July 2025, he reported to Recruiting Station, Columbia, South Carolina where he currently serves as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
Sergeant Major Brown's personal awards include a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal w/ 2 Gold Stars in lieu of 3rd award and a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal w/ 1 Silver Star in lieu of 6th award.
