Master Gunnery Sergeant Henriquez was born on 28 October 1983 in Santiago, Dominican Republic. He came to the United States in 1994 and was raised in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York. He graduated from Brooklyn High School in 2001 and, after completing three semesters of college, proceeded to recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, where he graduated as a meritorious Private First Class on 25 October 2002.
After completing Recruit Training in October 2002, Master Gunnery Sergeant Henriquez attended Marine Combat Training at Camp Geiger, NC. Upon graduating, he reported to Motor Transport School at Fort Leonard Wood, MO on 12 November 2002. He then followed on to Logistics Vehicle System School and Vehicle Recovery School, where he obtained the rank of Lance Corporal due to his performance as Honor Graduate.
In April 2003, Master Gunnery Sergeant Henriquez reported to Battery A, 1st Battalion, 11th Marines, Camp Pendleton, where he was assigned as an ammunition driver for the M198 Howitzer Gun Section 6. He was eventually reassigned to Headquarters Battery as a wrecker operator, conducting numerous light and medium vehicle recoveries. While in Headquarters Battery, he was promoted to Corporal and, on 1 November 2005, to the rank of Sergeant. He immediately assumed the role of Platoon Sergeant for Headquarters Battery Motor Transport and Wrecker Chief. Throughout this period, he continuously conducted vehicle recoveries and led the Marines in his platoon.
In April 2006, Master Gunnery Sergeant Henriquez reported to Recruiter School, where he graduated and was later assigned as a canvassing recruiter to the same station from which he enlisted in Downtown Brooklyn, New York. During this time, he had the privilege of recruiting over 87 young men and women.
Upon completion of his recruiting tour, Master Gunnery Sergeant Henriquez received orders to 3d Battalion, 11th Marines in January 2010. He was once again assigned as the Motor Transport Platoon Sergeant and Wrecker Chief. In November 2010, he had the
privilege of participating in an Individual Augment as part of 11th Marines Civil Affairs, which led to his deployment to Afghanistan with 1st Battalion, 3d Marines in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from 4 April 2011 to 12 November 2011. During his combat deployment, he performed as the Civil Affairs Chief and was promoted to Staff Sergeant on 1 October 2011.
In December 2011, Master Gunnery Sergeant Henriquez returned to 3d Battalion, 11th Marines and was assigned as the Motor Transport Chief for Battery I until 30 May 2012. From May 2012 to February 2014, he served as the TS Company 1st Platoon Sergeant were he lead 94 Marines and ensured 1st Platoon became number 1 in CLB 7 providing support to the training center in 29 Palms.
From February 2014 to June 2014, he served once more as a canvassing recruiter where he enlisted and additional 6 applicants and Q&E and additional 9 applicants, this lead to his upward mobility to Station Commander. From June 2014 to November 2018, he served as a highly successful Station Commander making over 11 Station Commanders, 6 Meritorious Staff sergeants and 7 Marines who would later become 8412 Career Recruiters just like him. From November 2018 to May 2019, he served as the Officer Selection Assistant directly impacting the officer mission. Seeing his accomplishments come to fruition, from May 2019 to April 2020, he served as the Assistant Recruiting Instructor at Recruiting Station New York where he was able to train and manage all the Station Commanders he directly led as Canvassing Recruiters. From April 2020 to May 2021, he was called to served as the Assistant Recruiting Instructor at Recruiting Station Boston where his impact to the mission led to another upward mobility as a young Master Sergeant to the billet of Recruiting Instructor for Recruiting Station Boston from May 15 2021 to May 01 2022. From May 2022 to June 2023, he returned as the Assistant Recruiting Instructor for Recruiting Station Boston.
From June 2023 to 15 January 2026, Master Gunnery Sergeant Henriquez served as a Training Team Member for 6th Marine Corps District. During this period, he performed additional duties in support of Recruiting Station Montgomery as the Recruiting Instructor for four months and served five months as the interim Training Team Chief, this performance led to being selected as the Next Recruiting Instructor for RS Tampa. He is currently serving as the Recruiting Instructor for Recruiting Station Tampa.
His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (Sixth Award), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (Fifth Award), and the Good Conduct Medal (Seventh Award).
