Marines with the United States Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon performed their unique precision drill exhibition in Downtown Nashville during the Nashville Salutes event hosted by the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation, Aug. 8. After the performance, the Marines took time to talk with the local public about themselves, their training and maneuvers, and about the Marine Corps. The Nashville Salutes is a celebration to honor Medal of Honor Recipients in attendance and preserve their legacy by launching the Medal of Honor Character Development Program throughout Middle Tennessee.
