Captain Matthew Mallalieu, the executive officer with Marine Corps Recruiting Station Atlanta, 6th Marine Corps District crawls through a pit of mud under concertina wire as part of the Spartan Race Atlanta Sprint. Held March 09, 2015 at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, Ga., the race consisted of 26 grueling obstacles spanning a total of 4.5 miles of alpine terrain. “The race was challenging but fun,” said Mallalieu. “Each obstacle had its own degree of difficulty, but that’s what keeps it interesting and pushes everyone to finish, and I’m looking forward to the next one.”
