Pfc. Lorvens L. Ostreal, honor graduate of platoon 1066, awaits graduation at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., Sept. 19, 2014. Jeswald, a Lauderhill, Fla. native, was recruited by Staff Sgt. George A. Bognar III, a recruiter from Permanent Contact Station Fort Lauderdale, Recruiting Station Fort Lauderdale. Recruit training signifies the transformation of a civilian to a United States Marine. Upon graduation, the newly-minted Marines will receive ten days of leave before attending the School of Infantry East, Camp Gieger, N.C.
