Pfc. David F. Hamilton, honor graduate of platoon 2064, awaits graduation at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., Sept. 5, 2014. Hamilton, a Jacksonville, Fla. native, was recruited by Sgt. Colin Seeley, a recruiter from Marine Corps Recruiting Sub Station Jacksonville Beach, Recruiting Station Jacksonville. Recruit training signifies the transformation of a civilian to a United States Marine. Upon graduation, the newly-minted Marines will receive ten days of leave before attending the School of Infantry East, Camp Geiger, N.C.
