Maj. Nicholas R. Grey

Major Grey was born in Honolulu, HI. He earned his bachelor degree from The Citadel prior to commissioning in the Marine Corps. Following The Basic School, Major Grey reported to Officer Candidate School as a tactics instructor before attending Military Police Basic Officers Leaders Course.

In 2014, he was assigned to 3D Law Enforcement Battalion (3D LE Bn), Okinawa, Japan where he served as a Platoon Commander and Executive Officer.  Major Grey deployed to the Republic of Korea for Freedom Banner, Ssang Yong, Korea Military Exchange Program (KMEP), and served in Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia.

In 2015, Major Grey served as MARFORPAC’s Security Detachment OIC in the Philippines.

In 2016, Major Grey was assigned as 3D LE Bn’s Assistant Operations Officer and deployed to KMEP 16. He was frocked to the rank of Captain and served as 3D LE Bn’s Operations Officer.

From 2016-2017, Major Grey assumed Command of Military Police Company A.  

From 2017-2020, Major Grey served as an Officer Selection Officer (OSO) in Roanoke, Virginia.

From 2020-2021, Major Grey was assigned to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit where he deployed as the Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Officer for Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA), Kabul Afghanistan apart of Joint Task Force Crisis Response (JTF-CR).

From 2021-2022 Major Grey served as the Operations Officer for the Provost Marshal’s Office MCB Camp Lejeune prior to assuming Command of the MCI-East Regional Brig.

Major Nicholas R. Grey currently serves as the Commanding Officer, Recruiting Station Columbia. 

Major Grey’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal in lieu of fifth award with combat “C” device, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon.
