Sgt. Maj. Eric P. Still

Sergeant Major Still was born in Orlando, FL and grew up in Athens, Ga. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in April 2000 and underwent recruit training at 3rd RTB, MCRD Parris Island, SC.  In August 2000, Sergeant Major Still completed Marine Combat Training aboard Camp LeJeune, NC and received orders to CSSD 21, Cherry Point, NC to serve as an Engineer.  Upon completion of his first enlistment, Sergeant Major Still graduated from the State of Georgia Police academy and was assigned in Athens, GA. 

In January 2005, Sergeant Major Still received orders to Recruiter School, MCRD San Diego, CA.  After graduation, Sergeant Major Still was assigned to RS Jacksonville, FL to serve as a Canvassing Recruiter.

In March 2009, Sergeant Major Still received orders to M1A1 Tank Crewman School aboard Ft. Knox, KY. Upon completion of Tank School, he reported to 1st Tank Bn, Twentynine Palms, CA for duty as a Tank Commander/Platoon Sergeant. In January 2012, Sergeant Major Still deployed to Helmand Province to assist in the successful training of over 200 Afghan National Police Officers.

Upon his return to 1st Tank Bn, Sergeant Major Still assumed the position of Platoon Sergeant, 3rd Platoon, Company C.  In 2014, Sergeant Major Still attended SNCO Career Course aboard MCB Camp Pendleton, CA.  Upon graduation, Sergeant Major Still assumed the duty as acting Company First Sergeant, Company B, 1st Tank Bn.  Sergeant Major Still participated in a total of six crew level Gunneries, three Operation Steel Knights, four ITX, and over 10 platoon level field exercises.

In January 2015, Sergeant Major Still reported to MAGTF Staff Training Program, MCB Quantico VA to serve as Operations Chief.  During the summer months, Sergeant Major Still served as a Physical Training Instructor at Officer Candidates School.  In May 2018, Sergeant Major Still reported to 2nd Tank Bn. to execute the duties as Platoon Sergeant and the successful stand up of Company C.  In December 2018, Sergeant Major Still reported to H&S Company to serve as Company Gunnery Sergeant after being selected to the rank of First Sergeant.

In February 2019, Sergeant Major Still reported to 2nd Intelligence Battalion to serve as the Company First Sergeant for both Battle Space Surveillance Company and CI/HUMINT Company. Sergeant Major Still was selected to be the senior enlisted advisor to review and select lateral movers into the 0211 MOS.  In June 2021, Sergeant Major Still reported to Marine Corps Security Force Bn. Kings Bay to serve as Company First Sergeant for Company B, H&S and acting Sergeant Major. In November 2022, Sergeant Major Still was selected to his current rank and received orders to Recruiting Station Fort Lauderdale.

Sergeant Major Still’s personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal with 1 Gold Star in lieu of second award, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with 4 Gold Stars in lieu of fifth award.
