Sgt. Maj. Brandon L. Reagin

Sergeant Major Reagin was born on 30 May 1985 in Greenville, SC. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in July 2004 and reported for recruit training to 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, Company L, MCRD Parris Island.

Following Marine Combat Training and Armor Crewman Course at Fort Knox, KY, he was assigned to Company C, 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division in March 2005. During this tour, Sergeant Major Reagin served as Loader and Gunner. In March 2006, he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In October 2007, he completed a second deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as a provisional Infantry Squad Leader.

In October 2008, Sergeant Major Reagin reported to Drill Instructor School, MCRD Parris Island, South Carolina. After graduation, he was assigned to Company I, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion where he served as a Drill Instructor and Senior Drill Instructor. Prior to his departure from Parris Island, he served as a Platoon Sergeant within Support Battalion for the Basic Marine Platoon.

Upon completion of Drill Instructor duty in December 2011, he transferred to Delta Company, 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division where he served as a Platoon Sergeant. In February 2012, Sergeant Major Reagin deployed to South Korea in support of Operation Freedom Banner. In June of 2012, Sergeant Major Reagin reported to the Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group in Fort Story, VA. After completing the Advisor Training Course, Sergeant Major Reagin deployed to the United Arab Emirates as an Advisor to the Presidential Guard, Khalifa Brigade in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

In October 2014, Sergeant Major Reagin reported to the Marine Corps Detachment, U.S. Army Maneuver Center, Fort Benning, Georgia. During this tour he served as Section Leader, Platoon Sergeant, and Tank Leader. He also served as the unit's Uniformed Victim Advocate. Through subsequent training and jumps, he earned the Navy and Marine Parachutist Insignia. During a bilateral training exercise with the German Armed Forces, Sergeant Major Reagin received the coveted German Jump Wings.

In March 2017, Sergeant Major Reagin reported to the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York where he served as the Senior Enlisted Leader, Drill Master, and Marine Corps Representative. In August 2020, Sergeant Major Reagin reported to Combat Logistics Battalion 6, Combat Logistics Regiment 2 where he served as the Headquarters and Service Company Sergeant Major. During this tour he served as the Combat Logistics Detachment Sergeant Major during Operation SEA BREEZE in Ukraine.

In August 2021, Sergeant Major Reagin reported to 2D Reconnaissance Battalion, 2D Marine Division where he served as the Sergeant Major for Company A.

In August 2022, Sergeant Major Reagin moved to his current assignment; Company Sergeant Major, Force Reconnaissance Company, 2D Reconnaissance Battalion, 2D Marine Division. During this tour he served as the CTF 61/2.5 Senior Enlisted Leader for the Recon-Counter Recon deployment in the EUCOM theater.

Sergeant Major Brandon L. Reagin currently serves as the Sergeant Major, Recruiting Station Columbia.

Sergeant Major Reagin holds a Master's of Professional Studies degree in Political Management from The George Washington University. He also holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Political Science from Oregon State University.

Sergeant Major Reagin's personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3rd award), Combat Action Ribbon, Navy and Marine Corps Parachutist Insignia, Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (2nd award) and Drill Instructor ribbon.
