Major Galadyk is a native of Colonia, New Jersey. He graduated from Seton Hill University in Greensburg,
Pennsylvania, where he played NCAA Division II football and wrestling, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Criminal Justice in 2010.
After being accepted into the OCC program, Major Galadyk attended Officer Candidate School in October 2012
and completed the course that same year. Following his commissioning as a Second Lieutenant, he checked into
The Basic School with Bravo Company BOC 2-13. In October 2013, Major Galadyk attended Infantry Officer
Course and graduated IOC Class 1-14 in December 2013.
In 2014 Major Galadyk checked in to 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines and was assigned as Lima Company Weapons
Platoon Commander. He deployed with the battalion in support of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU)
where he served the additional billets of the Fire Support Team Leader and Chief Maritime Navigator. In 2015
Major Galadyk served as the 81mm Mortar Platoon Commander and deployed with the battalion in support of
the Unit Deployment Program to Okinawa, Japan.
In 2016, Major Galadyk reported to the Marine Barracks Washington, 8th and I. During his time at "the Oldest
Post" he served as Rifle Platoon Commander, the Silent Drill Platoon Commander, Guard Company Officer, and
Assistant Operations Officer.
In 2019 he reported to Geiger Hall to attended Expeditionary Warfare School and completed the course as a
distinguished graduate and recipient of the General John A. Lejeune Writing Award.
In 2020, Major Galadyk took command of Company B, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines deploying his company twice
in support of the South West Boarder Mission and as the Air Assault Company for the 11th MEU. In 2022,
Major Galadyk assumed the billet of Battalion Operations Officer training the battalion through the execution of
ITX, MWX, and MTX before deploying in support of the 31st MEU 24.1 Fall Patrol.
In July 2024, Major Galadyk assumed command or Recruiting Station Orlando where he is currently serving.
Major Galadyk's personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps
Commendation Medal (w/ 1 Gold Star).
