Sgt. Maj. Christopher A. Stoudemire

Sergeant Major Stoudemire enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on 15 September 2003 and attended recruit training at 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC.

In January of 2004, Private Stoudemire reported to Marine Combat Training (MCT) at Camp Johnson, NC.  He graduated MCT in February of 2004. Upon graduation from MCT, Private Stoudemire checked into Motor Transportation Operator School at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. While attending this training he was promoted to the rank of Private First Class. In May of 2004, Private First Class Stoudemire graduated as his class’ honor graduate, and he was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal. Upon completion of this training he was then assigned to 3rd Force Service Support Group at Marine Corps Base Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan.

In November of 2004, Lance Corporal Stoudemire was assigned the billet of Licensing and Operational Vehicle Equipment NCO.  During January of 2005 he participated in Operation Unified Assistance, the humanitarian operation effort that took place in the wake of the Tsunami that struck South East Asia on 26 December 2004.

In May of 2006, Corporal Stoudemire was assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 371.  Upon checking into MWSS 371, Corporal Stoudemire was attached to MWSS 373.  While at MWSS 373, Corporal Stoudemire was the Maintenance Management Clerk and Assistant Operations Chief.  During this time, Corporal Stoudemire deployed forward to Al Taqaddum, Iraq.

In January 2007, Sergeant Stoudemire received orders to Drill Instructor School, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC.  Upon completion of Drill Instructor School, he was assigned to Company G, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion.  During this time as a Drill Instructor he held the billets of Receiving Drill Instructor, Recruit Processing Operations Chief, and Senior Drill Instructor.  He was meritoriously promoted to Staff Sergeant on 2 January 2009.

In December 2010, Staff Sergeant Stoudemire was assigned to 1st Battalion, 3d Marines Kaneohe Hawaii, where he was assigned the billet of Motor Transport Operations Chief. Staff Sergeant Stoudemire deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Cobra Gold, the Korean Marine Exchange Program, and the Unit Deployment Program.

In January 2014, Staff Sergeant Stoudemire was assigned to Logistics Operations School where he served as the Barracks Manager and S-4 Chief for Logistics Operations School. He was later selected to become the Course Manager for Motor Transport Staff Non-Commissioned Course. In August 2015 he was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.

In February 2016, Gunnery Sergeant Stoudemire was selected as the Assistant Military Officer Instructor for Savannah State University.  In August 2019 he was assigned to be the Inspector Instructor First Sergeant for Lima Company, 3rd Battalion 23rd Marines.

Sergeant Major Stoudemire assumed the duties of Sergeant Major for Recruiting Station Montgomery Alabama in April 2023.

Sergeant Major Stoudemire graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration.  Sergeant Major Stoudemire's personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2 gold stars in lieu of third award), and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 gold stars in lieu of third award).
