Major Littlejohn was born August 1987 in Washington District of Columbia. He attended Norfolk State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Applied Mathematics. Major Littlejohn attended Officer Candidates School Platoon Leaders Combined Course May 2008 through August 2008 and commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps on 13 December 2008.
After completing The Basic School in November 2009, Major Littlejohn attended the Field Artillery Officer Basic Course at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Upon graduating from Fort Sill, he reported to 2d Battalion, 11th Marines as an Artillery Liaison Officer from May 2010 to December 2010. During Operation ENDURING FREEDOM he was attached as a forward observer to Company K, 3d Battalion, 4th Marines, 1st Marine Division, Upper Gereshk Valley, Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
In December 2011 Major Littlejohn was reassigned as the Executive Officer for Battery S 5th Battalion 11th Marines. From June 2012 to February 2013 he deployed as the Executive Officer with Battery S, a combined artillery unit with HIMARS, cannons and radars positioned across the Area of Operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. After returning to CONUS Major Littlejohn served as the Battery Executive Officer and Battalion Assistant Logistics Officer through June 2013.
While deployed Major Littlejohn was selected to the Commandant’s Career Level Education Board and direct to the Special Education Program at the Naval Postgraduate School. Major Littlejohn attended the Naval Postgraduate School from June 2013 to September 2015 when he graduated with his Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering and received the 8824 AMOS. During his time at NPS Major Littlejohn completed his Expeditionary Warfare School Professional Military Education through the Distance Education Program as well as his Command and Staff Joint Professional Military Education through the Naval War College.
In October 2015 Major Littlejohn reported to Marine Corps Tactical System Support Activity. He was assigned as the Fire Support Systems Technical Support Officer. As the Fire Support Systems TSO at MCTSSA, Major Littlejohn supported multiple programs at Marine Corps Systems Command with developmental testing and evaluation focused on the functionality, performance, integration, and interoperability of various fire support and command and control systems.
In March 2017 Major Littlejohn reported to 2d Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division where he served as the Assistant Operations Officer until September 2017. In September 2017 Major Littlejohn was selected to attend the Marine Corps Tactical Operations Group for the Operations and Tactics Instructors Course for Officers. He graduated from the course in November of 2017 with the 0577 AMOS.
In November 2017 Major Littlejohn was assigned to 5th Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division where he assumed command of Battery R. As Commander for Battery R he deployed the Battery to Forward Deployed Forces Okinawa as part of 3d Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3d Marine Division from May 2018 to November 2018. Major Littlejohn relinquished command of Battery R January 2019.
Upon completion of his assignment of command of Battery R, Major Littlejohn was assigned as the Battalion Operations Officer of 5th Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division. He served in this billet from January 2019 to May 2020.
Major Littlejohn assumed command of Recruiting Station Fort Lauderdale on June 12, 2020 and is committed to serving the institution and community while entrusted with this amazing command.
