Maj. Will T. Patrone

Will T. Patrone was born and raised in Longmont, Colorado. He joined the Marine Corps and attended Officer Candidate School in October of 2006.

In December 2006, Second Lieutenant Patrone reported to The Basic School, Quantico, VA where he went thru the Basic Officer course.  Having been assigned the MOS of 0602 Communications Officer, he then attended the Basic Communications Officer course in Quantico, VA in July 2007.  In January 2008 he was then ordered to 7th Communications Battalion, Okinawa, Japan for duty. He served as the Multi-channel, Joint Task Force Enabler (JTF-E) Platoon commander and Assistance Battalion Operations Officer.  2ndLt Patrone deployed in support of Cobra Gold and Key Resolve while assigned to 7th Communications Battalion.  In October 2008 2ndLt Patrone was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with the Special Purpose MAGTF Afghanistan, as the Information Management Officer.  

In September 2009, First Lieutenant Patrone was given orders to Second Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC. Upon completion of the Series officer Course, he served as a Series Commander for Recruit Training Company F.  Captain Patrone then served as Company Executive Officer, Company H, and Battalion Assistant Operations Officer, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion.

In March 2013 Captain Patrone reported 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, in New Orleans, LA. While there he served Assistant Chief of Staff for the G-6, managing the communications requirements at the MAW headquarters and various units spread across the country.  During this tour he was selected and promoted to the rank of Major and accessed into the Active Reserve Program.

In June 2020, Major Patrone accepted orders to recruiting duty, and is currently serving as the Officer In Charge of the Prior Service Recruiting Station Six, 6th Marine Corps District, Parris Island, SC.    

Major Patrone's awards include the Afghan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Selected Marine Corps Reserve Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, NATO Medal ISAF Afghanistan, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Unit Commendation, Marine Corps Drill Instructor Ribbon, National Defense Service Ribbon, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal.
