FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA NATIVE GRADUATES MARINE RECRUIT TRAINING WITH HONORS

Pfc. Thomas A. Wesson graduated from Marine recruit training today as the platoon honor graduate of Platoon 2081, Company H, 2nd Battalion, Recruit Training Regiment, for placing first of 81 recruits.

The honor graduate award recognizes the Marine who best exemplifies the total Marine concept, which encompasses physical fitness, marksmanship and leadership traits, during recruit training.

Wesson, a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, acted as platoon guide for Platoon 2081.

Wesson, is a graduate of Cardinal Gibbon High School in Fort Lauderdale and was recruited at Recruiting Substation Margate, by Gunnery Sergeant Lonel D. Springs.
