Pfc. Nicholas Desme, honor graduate of platoon 1074, marches across the parade deck during the pass and review portion of graduation Sept. 18, 2015 at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C. Desme, a native of Miramar, Fla., was recruited by Sgt. Felipe A. Lopez at Recruiting Station Fort Lauderdale. To be recommended as an honor graduate, a recruit must not only display honor, courage and commitment during their three months of training but excel in physical training, knowledge and have a team player disposition.
